Everard Read had the privilege of assembling and curating the core art collection for Collegio alla Querce, a new luxury hotel in Florence, offering all the pleasures of a refined, country home. The hotel, which opened in March 2025, is part of the Leeu Collection and operated by Auberge Resorts.

I loved the geometries and deconstructed maps of South African artist, Gerhard Marx. My room had a wonderful painting by Nigel Mullins that grew on me day by day. Analjit Singh, owner of Collegio alla Querce and Leeu Collection, is a passionate art collector who wanted the collection to include some of his favourite artists. His vision made this a very personal art journey.
